Chief Human Resources Officer

Mr. Fink joined GBT in August 2019 as chief human resources officer. He is responsible for all aspects of the company’s human resources (HR) function, including talent acquisition, talent management, employee engagement, compensation, benefits and learning and development. Mr. Fink is a senior HR professional with more than 10 years of experience building and leading multifaceted HR functions to support fast-growing biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. Before joining GBT, he served as vice president, human resources, at Jazz Pharmaceuticals, where he built and ran the talent and business partnering organizations. In that role, he launched robust performance management programs, executed global learning and development initiatives, created diversity and inclusion programs and created an inspiring company culture, which contributed to high employee engagement and staff retention and cost savings. Prior to Jazz Pharmaceuticals, he was associate director, U.S. sales training, at Bayer HealthCare. Earlier in his career, he was a sales leader at GlaxoSmithKline, where he supported multiple brand launches. Mr. Fink is accredited by the Society for Human Resource Management as a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). He participated in Cornell University’s Modern CHRO Role & Strategies for Success program and completed the California Strategic Human Resource Partnership’s Human Resources Executive Development Program. He earned a B.S. in biology from Pennsylvania State University and an M.S. in organizational leadership from Mercyhurst College.
