Deval L. Patrick
Mr. Patrick has served as a member of GBT’s board of directors since May 2020 and previously served from April 2015 to November 2019. He is an experienced business and government leader with a record of success in solving complex problems, making strategic investments, managing crises and building teams locally, nationally and internationally. Since February 2022, Mr. Patrick has been a professor of practice and co-director of the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School. Mr. Patrick has served as a senior advisor at Bain Capital, LP, an investment firm, since March 2020, and he previously served as managing director of Bain Capital from April 2015 to December 2019. Prior to his tenure in government, Mr. Patrick served as the executive vice president and general counsel at The Coca-Cola Company. Prior to that, he served as vice president and general counsel at ChevronTexaco Corp (previously Texaco Inc.). Since March 2020, Mr. Patrick also has served as co-chair of American Bridge 21st Century Foundation and its BridgeTogether initiative, a nonprofit formed to develop and support permanent local grassroots organizing groups. In addition, he serves on the boards of directors of American Well Corporation, Toast, Twilio, and Cerevel Therapeutics Holdings. Mr. Patrick received an A.B. in English and American literature from Harvard College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
